MPACT

Advanced shot peening service.

Producing hydrocarbon is more challenging than ever. Your problem wells are costing you millions, to the tune of $30,000 to 125,000 per rod failure in workover costs and lost production.

MPACT turns those problem wells into producers — with rods that increase load capacity up to 25%, last longer, stand up to higher stress, and run reliably even in the harshest, most deviated conditions.

What Makes MPACT Different
MPACT™ is TRC’s proprietary peening process with precise control over shot size, speed, and coverage — creating perfectly uniform compressive stress profiles.

Stronger rods that fight fatigue and stay in service longer than competitive rods.
+25% load capacity
Zero BS lifetime warranty
64% longer fatigue life proven in testing
API 11BR compliant with enhanced specifications

Key Facts

Choosing MPACT helps operations hit sustainability targets without sacrificing performance.

With longer-lasting rods, you’re dealing with fewer replacements, fewer truck rolls, and less steel pulled from the ground.
Our third-party life cycle analysis shows that using MPACT™ and remanufactured rods cuts Scope 3 emissions by reducing CO₂, water, and energy consumption across the supply chain.

We test everything.

on remanufactured rods

We don’t inspect rods,
We transform them.

We’ve been testing sucker rods since 2008, cycling them to understand exactly how and why they fail, measure the effects of shot peening, and push the limits of advanced surface treatment. To properly evaluate performance, we split rods in half, peening one side and leaving the other untreated. The result: the MPACT treated side consistently lasts 64% longer.

Redefining Sucker Rod Limits While Reducing Lifting Costs

In this Tech Talk, speakers from TRC Services Inc. show how fatigue-enhanced, extended-load-range rods unlock hard cost savings: downsizing pumping units (power/CapEx), fewer workovers (LOE), grade substitution (materials cost), and more production from existing infrastructure.
